High school students get involved

Get Involved

Southern Vermont Area Health Education Center relies on the support of our generous health care providers in the Southern Vermont region who donate their time and resources to the students that we support.  We rely on these health care providers to act as job shadow preceptors for our MedQuest and other high school student programs as well as support to medical students and college students in the southern Vermont region on rotations or participating in summer projects.   Please click on the links to the left to see how you can support SVTAHEC to accomplish our mission to Obtain, Maintain and Retain the Primary Healthcare Workforce in Southern Vermont.

Some of the ways that you can get involved are:

  • Be a preceptor for a high school student
  • Speak to a classroom of students about your profession
  • Be a clinical preceptor for health professions students
  • Provide housing for a medical student on a rotation in Southern Vermont
  • Financially support SVTAHEC
