Advanced Medquest

Advanced Medquest StudentsAdvanced MedQuest is housed at the University of Vermont campus with the bulk of the job shadows taking place at the University of Vermont Medical Center (formerly Fletcher Allen Health Care).  Advanced MedQuest is open to any Vermont student who has attended a MedQuest program.

This year’s Advanced MedQuest will be a 5-day experience..  Students will participate in two job shadows at the hospital or surrounding community.  Students will work with SVAHEC staff prior to the start of the program to identify a job shadow that closely relates to their career goals.  Students will also participate in a variety of workshops that will enhance their medical knowledge and preparation for college.  A prior reading assignment will introduce students to key skills needed in the workplace and civility in the healthcare workforce.
