Welcome to MedQ Explore!
MedQ Explore is SVTAHEC’s new healthcare career exploration curriculum. In this program, students will engage in online learning over five days that will introduce them to the many healthcare careers available to them. In addition, we will have modules that will explore topics in healthcare such as telemedicine, patient diagnostics, and medical ethics. Students will learn from Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) staff about financial aid and the college application process and we will explore leadership and self-development soft skills that will aid you in your future.
Schedule: MedQ Explore will run online from July 26-30, 2021. Each day of classes will begin no later than 9am and end no earlier than 3pm.
Eligibility: Students who are currently enrolled in grades 10, 11, and 12 and are residents of Addison, Bennington, Rutland, Windham, or Windsor counties; or live in a neighboring state and attend a Vermont regional technical/career center or attend a public or private southern Vermont high school are eligible to participate.
Cost: The cost of the program is $600.00 which includes all supplies needed for the program. We want to make sure that all interested participants are able to attend, so if you require financial assistance, please indicate your request in the application below. Additionally, if you refer another student to our program who applies and is accepted, both of you will receive a 50% tuition reduction.
Once your application is accepted, we will be in touch with you about tuition, financial assistance, and your required deposit amount and deadline.
Extended application deadline is midnight on May 31, 2021
